Potion of Light

The idea for this is to have a potion that when drank would emit light from the player so that they can explore dark areas such as caves better. To make the potion I would suggest either the new glow berries or the glow ink sac. This potion could be upgraded to emit more light as well- could possibly as well make it so that if shot on an arrow with the potion have that spot where arrow was shot be lit up as well.

  This is kind of similar to my potion idea that I just made but instead of the player glowing the Ores glow

  AbroadKnight, that would also be a cool idea for a potion, but that’s a little different from what I had in mind, but that would be a cool idea too

  Maybe there would be an opposite to this that make the player emitt a negative light of some sort

  There is darkvision, but I like this because it can be beneficial in other ways: One person in a group drinks it granting limited light for everyone; A player who easily gets lost drinks it so others can more easily find them; Even if not an arrow, a ranged light source could be very useful for exploring. Perhaps the glowstone enhanced version is one that can make zombies and skeletons burn within its radius, making it more useful in caves and where there are lots of trees.
