Hi there Mojang! as far as we can see, the new goat mobs seem to be going through the recent "Minecraft effect" and are becoming slightly useless. The only function they seem to have is ramming you, and hitting trees to drop their horns (which only make a noise). So I have some suggestions for how they could become a more useful mob.
1. Eating tall grass and flowers (and maybe crops too). Goats are well known for being pig-like in diet. They will eat almost anything, so I thought of some cool ideas for that. Maybe they could eat tall grass and flowers off the ground. They could become very nice to have around. Maybe they could eat any food, and after eating enough, maybe the goat would like you for a little, following you as if you were holding food and fighting off mobs. Maybe as a sort of way to keep the players eye on them is that they could eat your crops while they are growing.
2. More uses for the goat horn. The goat horn is very boring as of now, and could use a little upgrade. Maybe the goat horn can scare away mobs, passive or otherwise. Maybe it could have the same effect as a bell, making villagers run inside like it is a raid. Maybe during a raid you can use it to find illagers. The horn could also be used to put food inside, like those cone things you seen on Thanksgiving, and use it as a sort of food storage.
3. Other uses (Non specific). Maybe you can milk the goats, which could give you goat milk, which may have a decent saturation. That's it! Thanks.
