Tired of underground bases full of slimes

Have you made a underground base just to find out that slime chunks are everywhere! Every time you turn around your crops are destroyed in your harassed by slime. It would be nice if there was some kind of light that would light up your build and slime could not spawn. Now that we're getting cave updates it's a good time to change that!

  Devs should just replace slime chunks with a dedicated cave biome or something along those lines.

  Having some chunks just randomly be designated as slime chunks is the opposite of intuitive, and unless a player uses 3rd party tools it's completely unpredictable which isn't a good experience for players.
