If a wet sponge touches a magma block in the overworld/end, it should dry.

If the nether is hot enough to instantly dry a wet sponge, then it would stand to reason that a magma block, a nether block which is hot enough to hurt the player regardless of the dimension it is placed in, should be able to dry a wet sponge when they touch -- even in the overworld, end, and custom dimensions.

    They definitely should add this feature in next update..imagine about cool builds likes water fountains that doesn't touch ground

    Giving magma blocks this ability to dry wet sponges would give it purpose in redstone builds.

    Filling a pool of water for example, there are ways to fill a space of 10x10x4 by having water dispensers creating water sources to fill it up. But the dispensers can't empty the pool.

    You can fill and empty the space using a redstone contraption but you'll have to manually remove the wet sponges to dry them every time you want to empty it.
