I think it would be cool if we can add more difficulty to the game with stronger mobs. First of all we’ll need a new hostile creature, the “fallen Angel” which will be a strong mob that spawns in open areas in the overworld, it can fly and can appear with a bow or a sword (that determines his attack style, if it’s a bow it will shoot spectral arrows alerting nearby enemies of your presence) when killed it can drop arrows, feathers, 1 spectral arrow or “heart fragment”. With 4 or 5 of these you can make a“blessed heart”.
Now the rubies will allow you to use those hearts. They’ll appear 3 to 5 in caves (a little more rare than red stone) and when mined you’ll get a dirty ruby that can be “polished” in a stonecutter. To get the actual ruby you can create a “live amulet” (we’ll need an extra slot in the armor set for these amulet, different from the offhand) with iron, diamonds and a ruby. Also If you combine 5 rubies and 4 of iron you’ll get a “heart catalyst” which can be combined with the Blessed heart to obtain a “charged heart catalyst” (maybe if copper can store energy with help of the lightning road it could be used in the process of charging this catalyst). Players will add the charged catalysts to the amulet in the smithing table. An amulet can hold up to 5 or 6 hearts and they work as extra lives. The amulet can break (or the catalysts it contains, not sure) and you’ll need rubies to repair it.
