Why Double Touch To Crouch?

Every version of Minecraft, that does not have touch controls, does not need the player to double click to crouch. So why would touch controlled versions of Minecraft need to double hit to crouch either? It does not make sense. Please change double tap to crouch, to just one tap to crouch. I think this would also be considered a parity issue.
