When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Redstone Projector - Balanced Wireless Redstone

Crafted from a Spy glass, 2 Copper ingots and a redstone torch, Redstone Projector is a new redstone component that can power any block or redstone thing wirelessly by shooting a redstone signal in a 1 block wide straight line up to 12 blocks away from it after got powered.

It has an input side and an output at the opposite side and also can be rotated to all directions – similiar to an Observer.

This wireless redstone component will only power the closest one block that stand in its "powering line" and also won't refresh the redstone signal strenght that it got. Those will keep this new redstone component balanced while being very useful for many redstone contaptions that seems impossible before to make.

    Great idea! Honestly, spy glass isn't that useful but with this, it will make spy glass very worthy. And also will make Redstone contraptions in Minecraft more cool and smarter.

    Would it behave like a laser, traveling in a single specified direction from the emitter? Or in all 4 horizontal directions? I think it would need a distance limit of as little as 2-3 blocks to be considered balanced. And there should be signal strength decay for each block of distance traveled, plus 1 redstone tick of delay.

    Side note: You can use daylight in a similar way to your suggestion, but with Daylight Detectors, and Pistons to control the light source.

    Midd Midd Yes it behave like a beam/laser, and it only has one output like an observer, so it will only shoot in one certain direction. ( you can rotate it like an observer too )

    We can discuss more about the distance, maybe we can decrease the distance for 3-7 blocks. But at least the main idea is there for now.

    I like your idea about the signal strength decay system, but the thing is, redstone signal strength has 15 levels and that means we'll have a 15 blocks redstone power emitter, wouldn't it be too Op?

    And yes we can use daylight sensor for similiar effect but it'll be different when it comes to bigger contraptions that have little space and have more vertical redstone ways than horizontal. This new component will do the work perfectly.

    It's hard to explain it all, but I believe you got the gist of it.

    I love this Idea! And maybe they could add a visual effect like a little red-laser whenever it get activated.

    With that, I believe creative people will also use this as a decorative block too, for example, imagine a treasure room full of red laser as if it's the security laser.

    I fail to see the advantage of this over just placing 12 Redstone dust and a repeater.
