Leaches

Leaches would fit into Minecrafts medieval style perfectly. they could swim around like a fish, however if you're touching one while you exit the water they will stick to you. While they are stuck to you they will do a little bit of damage, but they will also clear any affect you may have. You can take them off by jumping into some water.

    I like this, it really does fit in well with the Minecraft style, especially the use of clearing potion effects, like the usage they had in medieval (and present) medicine. Maybe you could catch them with a bucket to use in a milk-like effect negating potion, like pufferfish can be used in water breathing, except it only removes negative debuffs.
