I know, There are Some Feedbacks about Adding Ruby Back But Seriously, We Can't Let Ruby Die out In Time. You Can Just add This ore in this Update and No More Ores. Just Please, We Can't Let It Die, It's a Feature That Was Planned To Be Added Back in 2012 But You replaced it With Emerald just for it's Colour Being similar to Redstone's.
And I Have Some Ideas About the Usage of Ruby and Bit more stuff:
You Can Make The Texture Different from normal Ore Textures To Make it Different from Redstone's and Recognisable.
Ruby Will have Similar Rarity To Emerald and just Like Emerald can Only be Found Under Badlands and Their Variants No Elsewhere.
A New Wand Called Mining Wand Can Mine 3x3x3 Tunnels to Make Mining Easier.
Ruby Can Be Found Extremely Rarely In Mineshafts Even Rarer Than Diamond does and If Does Just 1-2.
Ruby can Be used With Diamond To Create a Much Powerful Sword Which Has Similar Durability to Diamond one, and Can Shoot Fireballs like Ghast does.
Ruby can also Craft a Biome Locator Which The Name applies It Finds The Biome You want To Find.
And Lastly Ruby can Craft A Red Redstone Lamp Which Will Emit Red Light to Make Things Bit Creepy.
Thats all of what i have, but At Least Add Ruby into Caves and cliffs,
