stalagmites should cause damage if you or a mob walk on them

stalagmites larger than two blocks tall should deal damage to anything that walks on them. this would add  realism.  this also makes sense due to the stones sharp nature, thus, walking on a two block tall stalagmite would cause damage. as for one block ones, they cause smaller damage but if you wear boots then the one block tall stalagmites do no damage. this is only an idea, but I would be glad if this was implemented.

  Yes, they should cause damage if walked/fallen on. It would be a good way to make traps and add danger to dripstone caves.
