Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I think this is a great idea. I never use bane but would use it often if it let a diamond sword one-shot creepers.

it's true that creepers only have 4 legs,, but what ARE they exactly? Do we even know for sure that they don't have a carapace? It looks like they could, and there ARE bugs that have chemical reactions in their bodies ( lightning bugs! ) , were any creature type to be the one that could explode with the force of tnt I would expect it to be an insect!

While building in survival, the most frustrating thing is being greifed by a creeper, so although in the caves I'm going to want smite or sharpness, while working long minutes into minecraft night-time trying to get blocks down or deciding on decor, a sword that one-shots creepers would be indispensable! Perhaps in the caves I would want smite, or sharpness in the end, but when peacefully at home rounding out my collection of dyes, nothing is more terrifying than a creeper!

I made a nearly identical post about this years back. "BoA vs Creepers" or something. Goes more in-debt on this topic.

The point is not so much BoA being "BoA", but there being an enchant that makes killing creepers as practical a, say, smite eases killing undead mobs.

It's not like creepers are boss mobs or something. They spawn just as much as other basic hostiles. The current sword enchants simply don't scale with creepers. Sharpness adds half as much dmg than BoA and Smite vs intended targets. If anything, it would make more sense to have no specialised enchants against the other mobs, except one for creepers.
Because BoA is pretty unused right now, it would be best to replace it with an enchant that álso works vs creepers.

This is a matter of balance, not enchant names or lore logic.
