Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Obsidian/stone cauldron

I believe someone may have already suggested something similar to this, but I just wanted to post my own version of the idea. I think that since we now will be able to have lava cauldrons in 1.17, if you make a lava cauldron underwater or place water over a lava cauldron, the lava should turn into Obsidian. Same thing for placing lava over a water cauldron, it should turn the water into stone or cobblestone. I think there are many things the developers could choose to do with this. For example, maybe the Obsidian or stone is stuck in the cauldron forever, rendering the cauldron unusable. Perhaps you can mine the stone or Obsidian out of the cauldron. There are many different paths the developers could choose to take with this idea.

    The reason I think this should be a feature is that it would keep the game mechanics consistent. If you place a bucket of lava at the bottom of the ocean, it turns into obsidian. It doesn't make sense that you could have a cauldron full of lava at the bottom of the ocean and it not do the same thing.
