There aren't a lot of hazards when you reach in the end and even avoid staring at the enderman isn't much of a challenge especially when you have a water bucket and the addition of netherite. What this spike does is give the player less area to be in and it's like touching a cactus only it's on the ground always. These spikes will be located randomly in the end to add more of an obstacle for the player to have to destroy or avoid.
You can destroy it by mining it with a pickaxe but you cant with water so they will naturally stay as a hazard that you got to avoid.
The enderman will be only immune mob to the spikes but the rest of the mob or even animals aren't safe walking in this. The damage you take from the spikes will only be a half heart of damage not to be too overpowered.
