Mountain Ruins

Small ruins up on top of mountains, what could they be? The mountain ruins are tiny structures with no walls or roofs and are trapped with pits of powder snow. At the bottom of most pits there is nothing but in a few there is loot including a new block. I'm not sure what the new block should be but maybe it is a way to activate mysterious  new weather or a way to get a skulk slaying enchantment on an axe or skulk protection on armor to help combat the warden. These are just ideas though.
