Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Run down rails

Mojang, you should add a feature where you can place grass and flowers of and sort on the same block as a rail so it looks really old and run down. Also, there should be Rusty rails. These will slow down the train. If you combine these, it will look REALLY old and weathered. Keep on being awesome Mojang!

    I would like to see mangled rails at the end of mineshafts that can send minecarts flying in random directions and/or damage/break the minecart

    I am drewatamnh, just on alt. A friend gave me an idea where some rusty rails spawn automatically and if you pick the up, craft them with sand(to get off the rust) and an iron ingot, it will make a normal rail

    You could also place moss carpets on rails. The rail will look mossy and run-down further.
