With a Latin name that translates to “flight,” the mountainous counterpart of the Warden, Volatus, is a snow white, wooly version of the Warden that has reasonable eyesight and can fly. While it is not as powerful as the Warden, this flying menace spawns in the Tallest Mountain mini-biome (high y level in a mountainous area). Volatus’ health and damage it dealt would, ideally, be slightly less than that of the Warden. The shape and design of Volatus is like that of Warden, but it does not have the “hearing apparatus” that the Warden has. Volatus’ most notable feature is its pair of angellike wings, allowing for aerial battles between players who have Elytras. In the Tallest Mountain mini-biome, there are mountainous temple ruins that contain decent loot: potentially ores, enchanted armor, new weapon(s) or item(s), etc. Volatus would not drop anything when killed. Instead, the player would receive an achievement: Aerial Ace. When Volatus spawns in, a text message appears saying, “Beware the Skies,” when Volatus sees you and engages in combat another text message would read, “It’s too Late!” If a player is killed by Volatus, the death message would read, “(player name) went too high for their own good and paid the price.”
This is just a rough concept; seeing as the Deep Dark is getting a "natural disaster" type creature, I think the skies deserves something unique yet similar.
