When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

(Java) Powering Blocks by Comparators

Comparators can output a redstone signal whose strength is determined by the measured blocks state. I think that if the blocks being measured were to be powered by comparators they should return to the state associated with the redstone level they are being powered

    Item Frames would rotate the item depending on the strength of the signal. Lecterns would flip to certain pages. Sculk Sensors could only detect vibrations from certain ranges

    Alternatively, these blocks could just flip through their states when powered by redstone

    I'm not sure if this is a thing, but if arrows don't knock items out of item frames they could rotate the item

    Containers could do a couple weird things. They could expel items so that their fullness matches the redstone signal

    Containers could also be locked using this method. The redstone level put into the block could "lock" it's fullness. You would be able to put items in but it would not allow you to take them out as the container would want to meet the fullness that the redstone level represents

    The expelling of items from containers could be used as pranks, like if people are trying to put items in, or it could be used to spring bound items on players. Or play the Minecraft version of 52 card pick up

    The locking method may be kind of useless as you can technically lock a chest with equal protection by making a machine that simply covers the top of chests so they can't be opened. Really, no matter how complex or clever a lock in minecraft is, it will probably just be easier to mine through it. Unless you have Elder Guardians nearby...
