There should be gold and silver and iron knights and they should drop armor called like (knight boots) or (knight chestplate)

Maybe there can also be 3 different types of knights, iron, gold, and diamond?

My idea for knights would be a 'tameable' villager which follows the player (with a limit of 1 or 2 active followers) that can be told to stop on a certain position much like other followers.
This way they can be placed to defend strategic positions built by the player, which are not in/near a village with a golem.
This would be similar to the illagers guarding their towers.

Additionally, I would certainly want them to be customized with player-made armor and shields (limited up to iron?), so they can show the flag of their 'owner'.
This creates amazing RP opportunities as well as an actual function for all those wonderful defensive positions we build. I imagine men with (cross)bows on towers and walls and those with swords standing guard at the gate. This simply doesn't work with iron golems.

It would be wonderful to be able to create them with a unique job block but it makes sense to make this really expensive, to prevent players from spawning entire armies.
As such the block would have to be activated with rare items like blocks of emerald.

At the moment I am feeling rather 'lonely' in single-player as I am the only one walking around with my banner, building empty castles and unmanned defenses.
