Parity means making features behave consistently across different Minecraft editions, most commonly between Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Java edition is still the only version of Minecraft I know of that let's you put apply custom banners to your shields. I frankly find it ridiculous that Mojang hasn't bothered adding this feature to Bedrock and the console editions. Shields with banner designs were a thing in Java as far back as 2015 it's 2021! The top voted post about this issue is from 2019 and your response was basically 'we'll add it someday' it has been YEARS! O_O
