I am so glad to see Copper in Minecraft, but I feel currently it doesn't have enough uses.
It would be amazing of copper could be alloyed with gold to produce Rose Gold, which in turn can be used to make armor. This idea gives not only more uses to copper, but more for gold and the smithing table. First, craft gold armor. Then, put it in the smithing table and add a copper ingot. This crafts a Rose Gold tool.
Rose Gold pickaxes have the speed and enchantability of gold, but the durability of iron (or even slightly more). And to introduce more of a progression system in Minecraft, you now need a Rose Gold pickaxe or better to mine Diamond. Iron just won't cut it anymore.
Rose Gold swords have the durability (or slightly more) and attack damage of iron, but the enchantability of gold and a faster attack speed than other swords (damage per second lands close to diamond). Axes and hoes have the same perks.
Armor is both more enchantable and more durable than iron. Rose Gold armor will still protect you from Piglins, and a full set will grant you 8 full armor vests on the armor bar (iron = 7.5).
You can also combine one gold ingot and one copper ingot in the crafting table to get a Rose Gold ingot, which can in turn be made into a Block of Rose Gold. The ingot can't be bartered with Piglins, but it will attract them, as can the block. Blocks of Rose Gold can be used to build beacons and won't age. These are primarily expensive building blocks.
