I was thinking that llama spit should be an obtainable item in a similar way to dragon's breath where llama spit will linger for a brief amount of time in which it can be picked up with an empty bottle. The main use of the llama spit would be to make a potion that makes all passive mobs follow the player similar to if the player was holding wheat in front of a cow, the potion's effect being inspired by how llamas will follow each other in a caravan.
The benefits of this would be that it frees up the player's inventory from having to hold different foods for different animals as all passive mobs will follow regardless. All passive mobs would follow the player including mobs that currently have no way to follow the player, such as bats and squid. Bats and other unleadable passive mobs (except villagers) being able to follow the player would allow for more expression in player made structures and environments. Currently if a player wanted to add bats to a haunted house or squids (in Java) to an aquarium they're making in survival mode for atmosphere there is no easy way to get them to follow the player to do so, having these normally uncontrollable mobs be influenced like this would allow for greater player expression and give more spotlight to these mobs that can't be incorporated into builds like this outside of spawning them in creative mode. Adding this potion ingredient would also give the llama a new and unique feature.
