The Distorted Desert Keeps the essence of the end. Endless sands, barren wastelands, and the feeling of emptiness, while also adding new features. One thing to note- this place is perhaps emptier than the end wastelands, because although endermen do spawn rarely, No other unique mobs spawn in this place.
The Distorted Desert is covered in Enderdust, a Blue-Purple Sand covering the entire biome. The sand does not fall when place, but when something lands on it, whether it be an arrow, snowball, or footstep, it will fall. That poses a particular problem for the desert, as the endstone below is dotted with several holes falling all the way to void, so if one steps on the enderdust below, they will most certainly die. This biome is one to avoid. The Dust can be smelted into Indigo Stained Glass.
Distorted Cacti are Blue-Purple Cacti found in the Distorted Desert. Smelting them gives one Indigo Dye, a dye only obtainable in the end. Like all other dyes, it can dye wool, glass, and anything else available in multiple colors. The Cacti deal normal damage as regular cacti, but inflict Blindness, Nausea, and Jump Boost for 10 seconds when brushed against.
