Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Vertical Texture Planks Block (Oak Cladding etc.)

A small addition that I believe would make a huge difference for builders, especially those that work in detail. The addition would be a new variant of wooden planks that would essentially be the basic planks block but with a vertically orientated side texture of the basic planks, and perhaps a 90° rotated top and bottom texture. The name could for example be "[Wood Type] Cladding" (Oak Cladding, etc.) With a crafting recipe of 2x2 wooden slabs, as to make it an easy block to craft lots of. And also being interchangeable with ordinary planks when crafting. While stairs and slab variants aren't hugely necessary they could be helpful too if they were added alongside them. I believe it would change building massively for some players. Hope you like my idea! :)

    Simply make the wood plank blocks directional, like the log. Many blocks would benefit from this.
