Easy Way To Join Friends

I have just recently downloaded Minecraft Java Edition, I have previously used Bedrock edition and I just got a laptop. Me and my friend wanted to start a world and we were disappointed to find out that there is no friends system or an "easy" way to join worlds. It would make Java edition so much better if there was a friend system. It could either be with some sort of friend code or you could connect to your Microsoft Account. I hope this idea is considered, thank you for your time.

  You should play with the essential mod. it adds exactly this. But I agree that it should be in vanilla.
