When you implemented the geodes we saw they have a some characteristics as, their usefulness for creating objects own of this update, their lovely sound and also their rarity; other thing to notice is that in the 1.16 you implement a use to TNT on the nether, for blast-mine ; and of course the new mechanics of vibrations on 1.17
Knowing all this my proposal is to give to the TNT new and different use in this update more relate to the caves' environment, not only to get pieces of terrain out of the way, but to find geodes.
Getting to the point: the player could use the explosion of a TNT (or even a creeper), to find a geode, it will make a sound that has a proportional intensity to the proximity of the event. This sound could have the name of: "geode resonance", I imagine the sound can be as the one you produce when you slide your wet finger on the border of a wine glass, or the sound by the "Tibetan bowls" (they are kind of similar); it will be fun to take a bunch of TNT to the caves with the proposal to find a geode, and "hunt" like in that child game "Hunt the thimble", (the cold/warm/hot game); actually a player on a fight with a creeper can explode it by mistake and maybe is close enough to a geode to cause resonance.
Talking about proximity maybe around 4 chunks to make a resonance? I think it is proper to have this mechanic in game, it adds more use to TNT on an update that deserve it, to have a reliable-fun-new way to find rare-precious resources.
