Goats should walk on trees.

This might seem crazy, but goats in real life really like to climb on trees and can even walk on top of them like you can do in Minecraft. (If you want a good laugh, do a google search for goats walking on trees:) Goats should randomly decide to climb and play on trees, from time to time. Another fun mechanic is goats have a chance to knock apples from the leaves that they walk on.(somewhere between 1% and 10%) This would allow people to finally make reliable apple farms.
