    I would just have it that the game detects who placed a hopper / ender chest, and then filters the items into that players ender chest. As for taking the items out, it may just be that it pulls the item out into a random hopper

    I would then carry a stack of them with me, the other end sticked into a sorting system, and funnel all the resources in the world right back home. I like this idea. I am just not sure if it is way too overpowered

    Ender Chests could act like quantum particles, being in multiple places at once until observed. Observing an enderchest would be interacting with it. Therefore, any hoppers interacting with it would be able to pull the items out
