Fire Changes

I was thinking that it would make sense to allow fire to be put on top of more fire. Ex. lets say there is a block of fire with nothing above it, using a flint and steel or whatever form of combustion to place another fire block above it with it connecting in between the two. By connecting I mean that the fire at the bottom will not have a top but rather continue another block then have a top with the flames. Another idea would be to allow combination horizontally as well. Like a 2x2 block of fire would then also be 2 blocks tall or whatever the devs want and the fire combines into one flame.
