My idea is this one: There are any color colored redstone (black redstone, white redstone, grey redstone, light grey redstone, white redstone, brown redstone, orange redstone, yellow redstone, light green redstone, green redstone, light blue redstone, cyan redstone, blue redstone, purple redstone & magenta redstone) when you put a colored redstone (like green redstone, for example) the light green redstone makes a "testfor", and it detects if there is another light green redstone in a 100 blocks radious. If there are a signal redstone in one of the colored redstones, it is transmited to the other redstone. Is a wireless system. It can pass any kind of block excepting obsidiane and bedrock. When the signal pass, it loses one of intensity (if in one colored redstone is 7, in the other is 6, etc...) I know that it can be made with comand blocks, but in a survival without commands, is a good form to make. A posible crafting is: the middle the dye (of the color of the redstone) and arround it, redstone (8 units of redstone powder). It drops you 2 units of colored redstone.
