The End doesn't really have much in the way of biomes as of today... we've been stuck with the pale purpur bricks and alien chorus trees ever since 1.9, after all. of course, there's been others who have proposed the possibilities of an end update's biomes, so why not join the fun?
this first volume of what will be a series of end-spansion suggestions will try to give a reason to the end's connections with the same impervious obsidian players use to link the overworld with the underworld through a new "Obsidian Spires" biome, a spiky, mountainous landscape composed almost entirely of obsidian!
the Obsidian Spires displays a mix of normal obsidian, crying obsidian, and even 2 new variants: cracked obsidian and brown obsidian. cracked obsidian is easier to break, being fragile enough for iron picks. unfortunately, it isn't gathered in block form, but rather as several obsidian shards that can be used for endgame obsidian arrows and resistance potions.
brown obsidian is like normal obsidian, but it's impervious to withers instead of basic explosions. brown obsidian is also used to create nether portals that work in the end rather than the overworld.
