Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Cork

You could get a cork if you debark an oak tree. It could be used for the craftig of glass bottles

    I had the same idea but not exactly. I would sugest getting a cork chip when debarking a log and with nine of them crafting a cork block. 
    This would have the opposite funtionality than gravity blocks but going up into water instead until staying still at the first air block or the top watter block if there is a solid block over it. It would be so useful for water buildings.
    Also this can be used as blocking sound blocks together with wool blocks. 
    And as it's been said, it could be used to craft other items as well. I think it would be a nice addition to the game that would provide interesting new mechanics.
