Ore Vein Textures (and Redstone Developments)

When ores are placed next to each other they should change their texture to make a longer vein of the same ore. This would look especially cool with redstone ores, especially if the redstone vein acted like a wire, allowing the light to spread to all of the other ores. Not only would this look cool, but doing so could allow redstone ores to act like the block form of redstone wires, possibly enabling redstone to be able to be placed up. Redstone could also be retextures to either look more like wires or like circuitry
