Salt

Because of the upcoming Caves & Cliffs Update, salt is basically begging to be added into the game. Maybe it could be that axlotls need to be in saltwater in order to survive or that if you eat salt, you could be able to survive in powder snow but you'll still fall through it because it'll make your tongue dry or if you're in a dessert biome, you lose half a heart depending on how much salt you eat*. *Salt cannot restore hunger bars, only give you a kind of dryness effect.
