Hello, Minecraft team.
With the addition of copper, this seems like a good opportunity to add the Electromagnet. In a crafting bench, place three iron ingots in the top three slots, three copper ingots in the middle three slots, two cobblestone in the bottom corner slots, and redstone dust in the bottom middle slot to make the device.
When a redstone signal is applied, the Electromagnet can pull an item made of iron from eight blocks away, an entity wearing full iron armor from five blocks away, an entity wearing three pieces four blocks away, an iron block and an entity wearing two pieces of iron armor from three blocks away, and an entity wearing one piece of armor from two blocks away.
the device can only effect an area in front of it three by three blocks wide and pulls things until the iron based object hits an obstruction. Iron blocks can also be magnetized when surrounded by copper blocks and powered by redstone blocks, but will be de-magnetized after a minute. placing more redstone blocks against the copper blocks will lengthen the amount of time the iron will be magnetized, and the larger you make the cluster of iron blocks, the stronger the magnetic field will get.
