Suggestion for sculk sensor crafting recipe and unique item possible?

    i like your idea and i saw that one skulk block is half dirt so maybe if you hoe that block also not 9 by 9 i thik 4 tentacles and 1 block of dark skulk

     

    dark skuld is the one that does not have green

    I think that being able to craft Sculk Sensors and uniformally plant them would make them to overpowered. They can be mined faster using hoes, so they are indeed a plant, but I think they should have a more unique growth mechanism where you need to go back to the cave to harvest them. Something that is closer to amethyst, but still with some special quirks. It is too early to know what the developers are planning, anyway. I'm sure they have something special to balance it. Your idea is still good, though.

    I also think that sculk could be breakable by pistons, making automated sculk farming possible. For the recipe, it should be using tentacles, a skulk growth item, which you get by mining those other sculk blocks, and a Warden Antenna, that could drop 4-8 from the warden. The recipe would be like:

    1 1 1

    2 3 2

    0 0 0

    1 is equal to the tentacles, 2 would be skulk growth, 3 is the Warden Antenna, and 0 is nothing, just empty space.
