What is parity? This category is designed just for features that exist but work one way on one platform, and another way on a different platform. Bugs are not parity! Items in snapshots and betas are subject to change so please be sure to only post about things that are currently released in Minecraft. Please read the intro post before you post!

If memory serves, this is one of a few parity features based entirely on a bug. Quasi-connectivity is a bug at its core, and would be a nightmare to make function intentionally. I agree that we NEED a dedicated parity update, but redstone parity is the least likely thing to be changed for it by a very large margin.

yes, i agree, for quasi connectivity i think it sould only actorative when the bottom is a redstone componant or soild blocks below it, for one tick piston, it fine so nothing should change, piston should be a componant so redstone can connect to it, however redstone should be changeable to dot or cross

A way of solving the issues regarding 1 tick piston pushing could be that you add a second sticky piston. Maybe called Extra sticky piston which has the honey texture and it basically behaves like the bedrock pistons where it always pulls back the blocks (just like it pulls the player)
All sticky pistons after the update on bedrock would be honey pistons But have slime sticky pistons added that behave like javas sticky pistons

all sticky pistons on java would remain sticky pistons. But have honey pistons added that behave like bedrocks sticky pistons

This way theres Piston Parity while also not breaking any redstone contraptions on both versions.

Added bonus: honey piston doesn't stick to slime
slime piston doesn't stick to honey

    Honey gets more use
