Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

bioluminescent algae/slime

The glow squid could drop glowing slime or you could shear it. It be the around the same size as Redstone or string and mostly transparent and maybe you could dye different colours as well it can also be placed on walls and ceiling. It would spawn in caves too help illuminate caves without distracting too much from the caves themselves.
