Minecraft Editions button for everyone on PS4

With the Bedrock Edition update for the PS4 people who had the game before the update got the "Editions" button that let's them choose if they want to play Legacy or Bedrock. Most of the players who wush tp have this are left out because they bought Minecraft after the update. It is inconvenient to uninstall the disc version of them game to play Legacy becuase the new disc has the legacy game files. It would make a large prtion of the playerbase happy to have the "Editions" button even if they bought Minecraft after the Bedrock update on PS4.

    I think this will be nice for everyone to have the editions button. I love the last version of Minecraft but I can't play on it because I was playing on the last version with my Xbox 360. So I don't have the editions button on PS4 Minecraft Bedrock. I really want to have it. People who never played to the last version could play on it. Please, I'll love to put the button for everybody.

    I really liked the mini games I had the old minecraft on nintendo switch but im on ps5 now and am stuck on bedrock it would be really nice to play the mini games again

    it will be epic if anyone will have the editions button. This will allow other pepole that bought minecraft now to expirience a nostalgic and classic old days.

     I miss playing it I had the disk but it broke so I had to buy the game and the editions button was gone I agree that they would add it for everyone

    I had the disk legacy verson but it broke so I got the download verson and I lost the button

    I played on Legacy for years, but now my button is gone. If it takes making it available for everyone so I can play my World again then please make it happen.

    Yes, I want this on PS5 too, everyone deserves to experience the legacy Minecraft. It is important, Xbox allows you to do it if you have the disk, so PlayStation 4/5 should have the same. The better together was so that everyone could experience Minecraft no matter the console they’re on, so it would make sense that we should still be able to play this older version, I’m not even asking that they continue to update it. I’m just asking to keep a version running that is still running, and that many people still enjoy. Why would they take away this? For bedrock? So many people dislike bedrock, that’s why I play the older version on Xbox, or but it doesn’t have the same updates as on the ps4. I play Java too, but as someone who doesn’t want to and won’t pay thousands for a PC, it is hard because my game cannot run as well as it would on my console. It was a stupid decision to remove the classic version in the first place, smh.

    I agree please add this. I was playing minecraft on the ps3 version years back and when I finally got a ps4 in 2020 I didn’t know it changed at the time. So now I’m stuck with bedrock and I also won’t be able to earn the trophies that are required in the editions only. It would be nice to have the ability to switch and play both bedrock and the legacy editions of minecraft.

    Yes. I would also suggest that the button be added to all legacy console editions for an easier switch between them.

    They should have the old legacy Minecraft & Bedrock version on separate discs Just like Xbox not combined together cuz if sum1 buys it on digital 2 this day Then u can’t go back 2 the old legacy version Just like I can’t cuz I bought the digital in 2021 like a divvy that I am now I can’t play old legacy version anymore it’s terrible make the game’s separate PLS!!!!!!!!!!

    can't I somehow have the old minecraft with a new disc here as I played it on my playstation 3 and now I can't play the old versions.

    For real, they should just give people the ability to play the legacy console edition of Minecraft for all console platforms, no matter if it's being updated or NOT, no matter when you bought it, and no matter if you own it physically or digitally. I played the legacy console edition, but on my cousins PS4. He had 2 controllers so we could play together with the screen sharing both our perspectives and we on the same world. I loved those moments. When I first got my own PS4, I bought Minecraft BedRock just EXACTLY AFTER IT released. Big OOF for me, and I really wish I could play it again.

    I also think it will be good for everyone to have an edition button, because you can't complete the achievements if you don't have the edition button, and I'm a Minecraft enthusiast and I also complete all the achievements, Now I can't fulfill them because I don't have the button.

    I really want to try out the old versions of Minecraft(I spent most of my time on the pc version), but I got my PS4 pretty recently and I am stuck on Bedrock.

    Many people prefer an older version of Minecraft, specifically legacy console editions, mostly for stability and nostalgia. Plus all of these new Minecraft bedrock updates are getting out of hand (what on God's green earth is a sniffer XD)

    I recently bought the legacy disc version only to realize if I updated it - it goes straight to bedrock... They need to revert this update for the legacy *disc copies* OR just make the "editions" button available to legacy version owners regardless of if they just bought the old version's disc yesterday.

    If I wanted to play Bedrock edition then I would buy Bedrock edition, if I wanted to play Legacy then I would buy Legacy... Makes sense doesn't it? Why remove a piece of history by covering it up with this microtransaction-riddled new version of Minecraft? (for the money, duh)

    But for now, as Microsoft corrupts the newer version of Minecraft while not listening to the community, I'll simply be blocking the update from my ps4 and resorting to my old ps Vita so I can enjoy the update-less legacy versions.

    If you've read this far, I hope you've also found some ways to enjoy Legacy - but if you're a Mojang/Microsoft employee - please take this up with some of the devs over there!

    Doesnt make any sense i just downloaded minecraft on my ps5 and the editions button was there but when i download it on my friends ps5 its not

    I 100% agree that the editions option should be for everyone because the mini games were such a fun and big thing on Minecraft for people. And it sucks that I can play it but my friends can’t and I know they’d really enjoy it

    As someone who LOVED the og minecraft, and the nostalgia that it brought me, i would absolutely love to be able to still play that version whenever i wanted to! everyone should be able to.

    WE NEED THIS. i used to play the old minecraft version SO much when i was younger, and now that i have a different playstation account, the only way to get this button is by either exploiting the game into thinking i should have it, or get an old disk, which is really annoying, considering i want to use the legacy version. im shocked mojang hasnt done this already, considering this thread is like... three and a half years old
