Conduction

Basically when ever you put a "conductor* such as iron or copper items when copper comes out, right next to a powerful heat source such as fire or lava or lightning when lightning rods come out, the block heats up so when you stand on it it would be like a magma cube block (except nothing happens when you crouch). It could be used for cooking food possibly if there is a way to do that.
