Active Mineshafts

Could we have active mines with villagers working them? We have villagers that farm, couldn't we have villagers who "mine?" 

Active mineshafts would be less "broken" and would be well lit. These would be great places for players to trade for ores or being mining your own.

    If active, they should have very little ores as the villagers would have gotten them. Basically, in abandoned mines you can mine ores and in active mines you have to trade for them

    Along with this they need a a new villager called a miner to be in the mineshaft and that’s who you trade with
