Dripstone can currently generate water, which is interesting but not useful in the overworld given that it's already infinite, and lava, which is exceedingly abundant. I like dripstone's application as a tool to farm liquids though, and have some ideas on how to expand it
Dripstone has made the cauldron more relevant, but we can take this a step further to give them an even greater use, I think. Here are my ideas:
1. allow dripstone to generate water in the nether when placed under ice or snow blocks(perhaps packed and blue ice generate water faster?). This would allow for players to maintain longer term residence in the nether by providing a water source for brewing without needing to go to the overworld. If lava is placed on the melting block though, that would take precedence.
2. Allow dripstone to generate a reagent from crying obsidian when placed underneath them. The use of this reagent may tie into respawn anchors as a means to teleport to them, or perhaps as a way to quickly teleport between the nether and overworld without the creation of a portal.
