I think that volcanoes would fit perfectly in the new caves and cliffs update. Think about it. Where are volcanoes found? Mountains. What are volcanoes connected to? Caves. See? It fits perfectly! A volcano would not erupt or anything like that. Actually, they look nearly identical to a regular mountain from the surface. Occasionally, there is the crater in the top. The crater falls down to near y42 (if it is there). Then, there are bunches of tunnels, each leading to a magma pool. The magma pools are found from y30 to y6. The magma pools are surrounded by magma blocks and granite. The magma pools also introduce magma. Magma is just lava, but found underground. It is the same block as lava, but when found under y56 it is called magma. When it is magma, it does slightly more damage. This is because magma is molten rock found underground. Lava is magma that rises to the surface, thus cooling down. Diamonds are also slightly more common in this biome. You can tell that you are underneath a volcano when there is more granite or if you come across a magma chamber. Volcano biomes stretch from one volcano to 20. Not all have the craters on top. The volcano biome only generates bordering mountains. Another related addition is seamounts. A seamount is a group of underwater volcanoes. Seamounts also have islands scattered around them because in real life, erupting seamounts creates islands. In the game the seamounts would not erupt, islands would be preexisting.
