Ability to ban items from your inventory

The ability to ban items from entering your inventory would be nice. It could consist of a small pull-out tab on the inventory UI with perhaps 8 slots for items which will then not be picked up when you walk over them.

Are you tired of picking up rotten meat? Do you need your inventory to remain clear of cobblestone on a huge digging project? Do you hate flowers but need to mow the lawn?
