1.17 Mob idea: Torch Lurker

This mob will blend in a certain cave biome, When the player is near they hide. And if the player puts down torches and they are gone. the mob will break a bunch of torches. so when you come back you might get lost. this mob will spawn in a cave biome that does not exist yet. but it will make that biome even more scary.

    a small, warden -like creature that puts out torches, rather than breaking them, and does not attack the player. It would also put out soul torches, Redstone torches, campfires, and actual fires, but won't approach lanterns, as they are too bright and sheltered behind glass.

    It would be called the Cave Scuttler and spawn only in the deep dark. It would be uncommon, if not straight-up rare.

    Great idea! It adds more challenge and a new type of mob, because we (maybe) never had a mob before that only comes out when the player is gone which is the opposite of most mobs in minecraft.

    What if instead of griefing the torches when the player isn't there, the lurker could stop all torches being placed within a vicinity, the same amount of danger, but less griefing not caused by the player.
