Amen! I'm done playing until the render distance comes back. My city was designed based off the render distance and now it is ruined.

Me too. My city just looks terrible with all that fog about the place. It is being tracked as a bug, so maybe this was a mistake because it still hasn't been checked to "resolved" over at mojang. (Dec 24 2020)

Hopefully they switch this back. If it was done due to performance issue, then they could simply give a warning if you try to set the render distance greater than 14: e.g. You may experience performance issues if you increase the render distance beyond this point".

    Just give people the option.

Well as I came back from a long break from Java to bedrock and I played couple hours I did noticed something wrong(render distance) I checked on internet what’s wrong and man am I angry because of that I posses Nintendo switch, iPhone XR , one s, series x, and pc , so I can nearly tell that’s somethings wrong with render distance I mean the MAIN point of switching from Java to bedrock is frame rate accompanied with good render distance, but currently playing on my Xbox one is kinda useless
I also were disappointed of switch bad performance and render but I didn’t played there much so I didn’t care but now bedrock edition is the WORST version which you can buy

We play on some high-end Snapdragons (8cx/SQ1 + 8cx Gen3/SQ3) and both get consistent 60fps, but are capped at 7 chunks. Even my abysmal Intel potato (Celeron) manages ~20-35 fps @ 12 chunks.

This really limits gaming fun because flying with elytra or exploring lush caves isn't nearly as nice as it should be.

Default settings are fine, but please DONT limit render distance. Let us gamers chose what we think works best for us.
