Deactivate skulk sensors using string

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Placing a string above a skulk sensor would play an animation where the tentacles would be tied together, in turn deactivating the sensor. This would provide a way to deactivate skulk sensors and give a new use to placeable string.

    While this is a good idea, the wiggling doesn't do anything with the vibration signals, therefore the string wouldn't stop it. Think of it as a hostile glow squid. You wrap up the tentacles from them attacking you, but they still glow. Now imagine the tentacles as the sculk sensor tentacles and the glowing as the sensor detecting the vibrations. It's like that.

    They should also break out after a specific amount of time, emitting no signals when breaking free. This would help us build traps near sculk sensors more effectively.

    In response to Blast Burner, I think it does make sense. Our ears work by sensing vibrations in the air. How? We have things in there that vibrate at the same frequency as the air that comes in. Our brain senses the things in our ears that vibrate, and measures the vibrations, which we interpret as pitch. If the skulk sensors vibratey things are unable to vibrate, the skulk sensor would just hear silence, because the tentacles are not vibrating.

    I am reasonably sure this is how ears work. And even if not, this idea works anyway. The dangley vibratey bits are obviously the thing that hears the sound, and restraining them, or cutting off the circulation, either way, would stop the organism from registering the sound.
