Taverns

I think that in the Minecraft world you should be able to randomly find structures called Taverns nearby but not too close to villages. This tavern could consist of maybe a cleric villager, some random potions in brewing stands and a bed that you can find upstairs. I do think it may be cool to be able to get maps leading to a special mob that you can kill and trade in an item that it drops to get something like iron-nuggets but I also think this should remain as simplistic as possible to not massively change the game but add a fun thing players can do if they so wish. I think this would be a fun little add on that would help speedrunners if they are lucky enough to come across one, give more towards those players that love exploring. Overall I don't think this would change any current features of the game and would just add a simple new feature that players can choose to use or not.

    I've seen things like this but I think my one rather unique in its own way as it doesn't add any dramatic features like full on taskmaters that give you assigned quests.
