Add an "add server" button

While on the xbox one, there does seem to be a way to use any serves other than the featured ones.

    The lack of an Add Server button on consoles kneecaps the Bedrock dedicated server community and makes it difficult or impossible to run a server for people we actually know, since most active Bedrock players are on consoles at this point. As a PC Bedrock player trying to run a server, I'm often the weird guy in the corner raving about how great things are over here to people who can't experience it and have to put up with extremely underpowered realms to have persistent worlds, while unable to find anyone I know who can even use my server. Please please please, let us provide our own servers on our own hardware for our own friends.

    Add this on every console please: it is such a good idea 

     

    This would be a really good thing for the community: to let them play on custom servers, this option is already on tablet so why not have it on consoles?

    Set up a couple of dedicated Minecraft BDS on an old server. Able to connect to the different worlds via the ports. This can be done on PC and Android but NOT on Series X.

    Really disappointing to not have this capability across all environments.

    We need the ability to add servers on consoles and anything about needing to maintain control over quality or privacy concerns is pure BS. This is nothing more than a money grab for realms and it's ridiculous. I have some custom hacks to help my users get around this but it's not worth the time anymore so I will be having to close down my servers and write parents letters explaining why I am closing down all my servers.

    This needs to happen. It would be especially helpful for those building communities and that are capable of running their own dedicated servers. Having to leave a device logged into a world 24/7 just so others can join is not practical, because it pauses the world and does not allow others to join if the host has the game paused or running in the background. Playing your own world offers 8 player slots, and a realm only offers 10, so paying for a realm is not plausible at the extra cost. Especially when a dedicated server on a really good internet connection could easily handle 20+ players at one time.

    PC users have a button in the Servers tab to "Add Server", and it should be present on all devices/consoles. This suggestion is three years old at this point and is becoming more and more relevant for many players in this era, but not enough people know to come here to make suggestions like this.

    Developers can use the same concept for this as is available to PC users at no additional impact other than making it noted to users on certain devices if their device is not compatible with the add-ons included on that dedicated server.
