The C&C update added the freezing functionality for snow and leather armor.

Actually adding Seasons would be great too. They should also then add clothes to the game, since even Leather Armor would get hot in the desert.

I don't know much about programming or creating games, but it would make sense to me to have a new status bar: the Temperature bar or something like that. It would let Players know if they're in danger of freezing or burning. Armor could then have another use; keeping you warmer when you're traversing a Snowy Biome, or climbing an Extreme Hills mountain. Also, Water Bottles would be much more useful, keeping your Temperature down when traversing a Desert or Mesa or even a Savannah. This addition (if added) would make going to the Nether so much harder, though, as water cannot exist in the Nether.

YES! This is exactly what I was thinking, too! Maybe add insulating armor to combat the cold. There should be a bar added to the HUD that shows how warm or cold you are and you have to stay in the middle (not too warm and not too cold) by taking off or putting on armor or some other clothing.
