My idea is to give new texture to dogs and wolves based on biomes and villages, like cats. Its time to give canines some love! Wolves have basically stayed the same from the beginning of Minecraft.
So wolves should have different coats based on their biomes to help conceal them in their environment, also to aid in hunting.
When tamed they would have random coat type (like the cats) and could be a random breed too (german shepherd, tamaskan, Pyrenees, Chihuahua, pitbull, etc.) And all had a specific ability (certain attacks, guarding, alerting, etc.)
They coukd spawn in villages and possibly scare spiders or zombies like cats scare creepers. They could aid the farming villagers and protect their crops from being stolen by players (but they could also be tamed by the player with bone or meat)
